hey guys, i hope everything is going well. i have another question/concern. when you pop the trunk open, does it open slowly or does it seem like it's going to hit you? mine opens so fast that my fiance already broke a nail. wouldn't a trunk lid be somewhat "weighted"? TIA

When I was at my dealer a few weeks ago, I was checking out one of the new 2003 C320's they just got in, and I was almost knocked unconcious.
The trunk on my S500 opens very slowly and smoothly.

The democratic way!
You can select the opening speed from "barely" to "too fast" with the springs behind the real taillights.
Grab some vice-grips and snap them on the spring.
one stop further rearward for faster, one stop forward for slower.
