I went to the MB dealership today and asked about the leather key fob cover and they said it wasn't available. I could have sworn that I saw that MB had one. Does it not work on the W203 models?

the leather fob shown and easily found on Ebay, does not fit gen1 Smartkey
(top left), valet (bottom left). it will fit gen2 key (top right). it 'may fit'
gen3 (bottom right) though slightly cockeyed.

since the origin of these are probably Asia somewhere, you may want to dress
it a little before using, so as to minimize color bleed. mind exhibited no such
ailment, though another forum member said the color ran after the first rain.

I bought one of the ebay leather fobs for my 06 smartkey (just like the one Raymond showed). It was just OK. I did not care for the off-balanced fit and I ended up dropping the key more often because I found myself trying to get the key out of the fob one handed too often. The fob is now in the drawer, on my 02 smartkey.

I finally ordered one through eBay and it fits the key nicely. Just wish the MB key had the hole in the middle.
