Well I was getting close to pulling the trigger on a set of new tires..probably from Tirerack.com. I was leaning toward the Goodyear F1's but Decision was even made harder with the new pole position's $100 discount. So I like the Goodyear's aggresive look but than there is the $200 difference..
Humm Are the NEW Bridgstone Poles proven??????? Right now they are rated first on TireRack's tests and customer surveys butttttttt.......
The other question I have is the Goodyear's have Rim Flange Protectors.....I understand this will help protect from curb rash. I kinda thought most high performance tires had these.........???
Your feedback would be much appreciated
Thanks from totally

I have got to believe that the new Bridgestones are going to be as good, or better than what they replace -- and with that kind of discount, it's a no-brainer. I may take a look myself. I'm a few months away from needing replacement, but for a good price....Originally Posted by Tectite.Metal

I'd get the Bridgestones. When my GS-D3's are out, I think I'm going to give the PP's a try. The price is great and the reviews are great. Also, Bridgestone's UNI-T technology is pretty damn cool.
As for the GS-D3's having curb protection, it's not true, you'll still get rash if you come too close.

go with which ever's best in value and performance.
but do keep in mind the GS-D3 last twice as long as the Pole Position 050A.

wait, what? the REO50A PP's don't last very long? I thought with UNI-T they last even longer than a normal tire... (or at least have great grip even when they're worn down)Originally Posted by FrankW

the 050A PP's only rated at 140AA treadwear. you're looking at around 10k miles out of them before they're bald.Originally Posted by nlpamg

I don't consider that a bad thing, if there's a payoff in the form of better grip. To me, buying new tires is intriguing -- you get to try out the newest stuff and learn more about the car.Originally Posted by FrankW

For your daily I know that the GS-D3's will last longer, but should probably look at Yok's or Komo's for a daily.Originally Posted by FrankW

For me and my toy, the Pole Positions are the way to go, because I want GRIP, plain and simple. Factor in the price break and the Brigestones are THEY WAY TO GO.
My GS-D3's only lasted me about 12,000, so if I get 10,000 out of my Pole positions, I am STILL WAY ahead of the game.
See yeah
