Is the C32/C55 drivable for older people?

I read that even the slightest touch of the accelerator will result in an instant, if not, uncontrollable push :

Quote:
The trouble is, even a slight tap on the accelerator causes the car to surge forward. The all-or-nothing throttle means the warning light for the revised ESP seems to be on more than off as the rear tyres struggle for grip.

In the dry this can be fun - but wet, twisty roads are not for the faint-hearted.

Is the AMG civil enough to drive for anyone? Sorry for such a newbie question, with no cars out here to test I think getting people's experience would be my best bet on finding out more about these cars. I drive a Nissan Skyline GTR so speed isn't a problem for me ;-P but worried if its too much for mum. Thanks again.

LOL, that reviewer is on crack! The lack of throttle responce is one of the biggest complaints for the W203. That's why a ton of people get a Sprintbooster and ECU retune

If you leave on the traction control, no sprint booster and stock, it is extremely
tame.

Turn off traction control and add sprint booster, then it might be little more
scary for the driving challenged.

Both cars are very tame when you drive them like a normal car. There are enough electronics on board to keep you out of ANY troulble, including slippery roads.

These cars CAN drive like a VERY spirited sports car, IF you turn off ALL of the electronics, and it is nice to know that they do have this potential avaible if you ever need it.

They both ride, IMO very nicely for a daily driver. Atleast MUCH better than my BMW ever did.

Take one for a test drive, you will NOT be disapointed

See yeah

Of course, if the person is afraid of the power, there are LOTS of C class cars available that look exactly like the C32/C55, and do not have the HP "problem."
