MSD Dash Hawk

Does anyone have one of these in their rides? I've been thinking about getting one to be able to monitor boost, air intake temps and many other functions. I like the look of traditional gauges over this but you can't beat the parameters that this thing can watch! I just wished I didn't just buy a laptop. My mad money is gone now

That's kinda cool, I'm interested to know how well it works too.

It's just an OBD2 scanner with display. I was considering getting an OBD2 reader module with video out to display on my navigation screen, then I accepted that I very rarely need to see any of that data. That's what my portable scanner and logger are for.

I also didn't want to have something constantly plugged into my obd port.

What isn't these days? It is pretty much just like the Edge tuner that Diesel guys use to monitor their trucks.

Really? I would think that it would be of great benefit to keep tabs on these cars simply because of that darn intercooler water pump. Plus you could see when the blower is activated since it monitors boost vs vacuum.

I also didn't want to have something constantly plugged into my obd port.
Is this because you might kick it or possibly damage the plug?
