Just wondering if the C55 and C32 diffs are the same.

Drove beind a C55 the other day and liked the cooling fins on the diff cover, can we put them on a C32 ?

the covers would not fit. Even if they would fit, removing the diff is no joke.

I've been wondering the same thing in the past...I'm going to get a Quaife...but I like the way the diff cover looks on the C55/E55, etc. Is it possible to buy a used C55 rear diff housing, gut the internals and swap it with the internals of my existing rear diff plus a Quaife ATB? That way, only the housing would be different (assuming the C55 diff housing fit on a W203), and the drive ratio would remain the same.

Paging Dr. Sunil, any recommendations? Are the side axles and driveshaft on my C32 coupe even compatible with the C55 diff?

if you gut the internals, you need a special jig to align the pinion gear with ring gear or you will invariably have a whine. If drive ratios change, they can be reprogrammed in the ECU. Earlier 203's have 2 piece axels, later 203's have single piece axels which are not easy to remove.
