The Mercedes-Benz solution is specifically engineered for Mercedes-Benz vehicle systems. Because Mercedes-Benz vehicle systems do not recognize the iPod device as a CD-changer component as competitive solutions do, customers can use both the CD changer and the iPod device without sacrificing one for the other. Also, unlike after-market solutions, the Mercedes-Benz kit is covered under warranty.

So in my 2006 I can have an IPOD and my in-dash CD and my CDC using the factory IPOD kit with COMAND? Sorry if I keep asking that question but I've heard otherwise.

Yes
So to confirm, the information definitely shows up on the screen on your gauge cluster, but does it show up on your nav screen? Title, artist, etc.

Nope, it does not, only on the guage cluster info screen but using the buttons on your steering wheel is sooo much nicer then playing with your ipod in traffic. In the end it depends on how much you wanna spend?
