Quick Ques

AMG'ers -- Weird thing happened to me this AM wondering if you guys ever experienced the same

Put my key in and tried to start the ignition (dash lit up as normal) but the car did not turn over at all

Internal light went on so dont think its battery or electrical

Then took the key out and tried again and it started right up

Any thoughts?

Did you "reposition"/touch the shifter

before retry? That could be ONE reason (happened to me).

Does anyone know, how to adjust the shift-linkage to be more precise?
Thanks

I've read over in one of the non-AMG W203 threads that it's more a matter of a control module than a mechanical shift-linkage problem. So unless your linkage is obviously loose or our-of-whack in someway,... it's prolly electrical.

I do know that if the car is shut off while you're still in gear, the C32 makes you not only put it back in drive to restart, you also have to completely re-cycle the key positions.
