First off, congratulations on the purchase. I guessing that particular car is going to be extra nice.

To your question, the 2002 COMAND system is NOT a DVD system. It is the older CD based system. A disk for your region should sell for about $30 or so from a private party. Check the classifieds here on MBWorld and if none are available, check ebay. I saw a ton of them out there. I updated my disk from a guy here on this forum for $30.

Just try and get the latest versions. They have like 2005.2, 2006.1, 2006.2, etc. You'll want the latest 2007 edition.

Hi --

I have the complete CD Nav kit for the CD based Comand and the instruction manual all bought from MBenzNL for my 99 C43 AMG (traded-in on C55). Shoot me an email. I will let them go very, very cheap. Oh, for NY you need disk #7. However, if you ever travel, you will need the other disks.

Regards,
