I got the BAS and ESP ERROR message while i was driving down to the Anaheim Auto Show on Saturday morning. I was like "what the hell??"

After i got off the freeway, and waiting for at the redlight, i restart the car and the message disappeared.

Go to the dealer and have them replace CPU module for BAS/ESP. I had the same problem. It comes and goes. Other guys also had it, do a search on this forum. Good Luck.

I too became a victim of the "ESP Ghost".
Driving to work this morning and suddenly a message about the ESP came on. Made an appointment with the dealer for next monday. This evening when I started the car to drive home the error message has disappeared and not returned since.
Should I check with the dealer or just leave it ?

Ha, this happened to me on the dyno today! Drove for 10 minutes and it all went away without even turning the engine off!

WHOA this thread is old....

anyway, mine's already solved long time ago. for you, if it occurs again. you can just do what most of us did...replace it under warranty...

same problem, different solution

I have also had the dreaded ESP/BAS error that occasionally pops up out of nowhere. The dealer suspected a bad brake light relay, but when I got it in yesterday, they found out that wasn't the case. It turns out there is a corrosion issue with a group of three wires. There is a TSB from MB on this. Either way, I hope it's gone for good!

I had the same problem this morning. I jumper out in front of an E500, pressed the gas to the floor, and the engin lost drive. I pull to the side of the road ,and restart the car. I put the car in drive and pull out into traffic. One problem, No boost. Boost came back after 30 seconds. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me. The first time I was in winter mode with the tranny. I think the problem is in the tranny software. In the past I have had the dealer replace the ESP module.

I had this problem for a while too. So I decided to drop-by the dealer's workshop and did a 'Star Diagnosis' one fine day... guess what? Apparently the Brake Pressure Sensor is faulty.

Got my results from the dealer. It appairs that there is a TAS case open on this issue for C32s.

The error codes are: P2032, P207, P202E, P202S and P203B. They point to 2 parts; Throtle Valve Actuator and the Charge Pressure Sensor. The dealer is not going to change these parts until MB tells them to do so.

I test drove the car for the tech and the car ran fine. :
