help removing 3m adhesives

Hi, guys. I recently installed a CF trunk lip spoiler that I got from ebay. My problem is, I am not very happy with the outcome since it's not a perfect fit. I want to make adjustments but these adhesives (3M trim/molding double sided adhesives) are very sticky. Is there any safe way of pulling it out without damaging my car's finish or the spoiler? Will it be the same as debadging like the ones I read from the C-Class forum? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have not done this before, but you can use warm soapy water with dental floss. Maybe the waxed type - just kidding! Good luck!

Hey there:

Go to any auto parts store and buy "Prep Solv" It will remove the tape with NO PROBLEM. Keep in mind that also will remove ANY wax or coating, so you will have to re-wax immeadiately. And yes, it will NOT hurt your clear coat. The stuff really works on anything, its what the paint shops use prior to spraying a car. try it!

See yeah
