"SRS" light????

"SRS" light????
Hi there. I am currently stationed in Turkey, but my wife is still in the States with our C32. My wife informed me that the "SRS" light comes on, she has taken it to the dealer 3 times and they can't find anything wrong with the car. They do not know why th light comes on????
The dealer has said that it might be th ignition, but they are not sure??? To replace the ignition is 2.5K plus the $500.00 to get new keys. I was wondering if anyonelse here has had this issue. Thanks in advance

Hi there,
I had this problem recently and it came down to a sensor in the front passenger seat which senses occupancy and turns off the air bag accordingly.
My friend who is a MB mechanic said it is a common fault normally caused by someone leaning on the seat with a knee or hand. In my case it was caused by one of the heat pads for my heated seat which had burnt through one of the encased wires for the occupancy sensor. Cost me £108.00 for the sensor and £30.00 to fit it.
