MB Tonbridge Kent - Official best dealer

Guys - just a heads up for those MB owners in KENT. Ive been to EVERY Kent dealership with probs with my car - inc shaking at idle, that 1500rpm gaer jerking - all have been absolutely usless and even I've relised lied about what theyve done! All except one dealership who are now my best friends - TONBRIDGE.

I took the car into them with that 1500rpm jerk issue - its come back all fixed like there was never a prob (lets hope it stays that way) - they had it for 2 weeks and fully drove it to test - result - it needed the 2003 software update - what gets me is that MB Maidstone reckon they installed that update 9 months ago and it never fixed it! The Service Techie in Tonbridge said he checked updates and didnt find one done at all - so Maidstone lied I guess.

And guess what - whilst they had the car they noticed the shaking at idle - replaced a pully on the engine and belts - my god the shaking has gone!! Yet MB Gillingham and Dartford both said they too had replaced the very same pully - so either they lied about that OR they installed it wrong!

And to add injury to this - the service advisors at Gillingham just do not know how to treat their customers - they make you feel like your being a pain - they are rude and even had the cheek to charge me £15 admin fee to have a courtesy car! joke - they have made so much money on warreny claims and yet they feel they have the right to charge a £15 admin fee to use the car!

I know this is my personal opinion but all I can say is stay away from all Kent MB dealers - goto Tonbridge - they have been sooooo helpful, friendly and above all fixed my two most annoying issues. Tonbridge is alot further for me to drive to but when I get A1 service like I have from them - well I'd rather drive that extra to be honest.

You're very fortunate to have found a dealer to take care of your problems. I went to the dealer, Star Motors in Houston, TX, becasue my turn signal were coming on and off by themselves. I figured I would get my seat issue fixed and check whether my intercooler pump was going bad as well. They gave me a rental which, I ended up paying $60 for two days for, they covered $35 in addition and it was not a mercedes. So the next day they say it's ready. They say the only problem was that I had a faulty siren on my car and they ran the daignostic on my car and found no problem with the pump. I couldn't make it that day because every one leaves at 630 and the traffic and the rain would not allow me enough time to go pick it up.

I get there on saturday and there are no mechanics nor service advisors. They give me the car, which looks like it was half washed and then I notice the turn signal problem still there and my seat problem was there as well. So I took it to them and they did not fix the original problem I was having with the car. The car still feels sluggish as well. Atleast the siren was fixed and I also noticed that the previous owner had put the car on the netherlands setting. I now have beeps when I lock the car. I have to wait till tuesday to take them the car, but I don't want too continue having the same problem with them.
