I'm not exactly sure how much it will cost if you have the dealer do it, but I'm sure it will be close to $500+, I just went and bought some porterfield ceramic brake pads and some Akebono euro ceramic pads for the rear. I spent about $200 shipped. I will be attempting to do all the work myself.
There are plenty of other brake pads that you could get for cheaper prices, but I've heard lots of good things on the forum about the ones I chose. You can find the akebono pads on tirerack.com and the porterfield pads I found at formymercedes.com.
Don't be scared to search, there's lots of valuable info on both c-class forums.

A service department should be able to quote that on the phone. Having done it twice, actual labor with good equipment should be less than 2 hours, barely more than one. But it's probably a profit center for any shop. They may do a lot of "inspection" that will ramp up the price.

I had the dealer do just the fronts shortly after I got the car, ehem, due to my driving, only because I thought that the car required special tools etc.
I kicked myself after I found out it's no different than any other car.
I would definitely do it yourself, replace the lines with stainless, replace the fluid with motul 600, and use a better pad. I would use a pagid blue 4-2-1 sport S pad, or potterfiled rs4, but it seems like the akebonos might be good, although I have zero experience with ceramic pads and cannot comment with first hadn knowledge.
You might want to take it to the dealer with some extra motul 600 and have them rebleed it as I know with my 911 they have to use a machine to open up the abs to completely flush and remove the air in that circuit when I did the 14" kit.
