hello please help just saw kleemann headers but i see that it comes with down pipes for c55.i guess with those down pipes the first set of cats will need to be deleted. my concern is if that is done would the check engine light come on.thanks for any info it would help a lot and save headaches.

I am not sure of the downpipes but I have the Kleemann 200 cell sport primary catalytics on my SLK55 which shares the same engine as the C55. What I have heared is that the downpipes that come with the headers are just 200 cell 3" Primary catalytic converters.

It doesnt cause check engine lines to my experience but if it does, the issue can be resolved by having your car flashed by Kleemann which adds 15hp on top of the 20hp you gain from the headers alone.

i currently have renntech cf airbox and program. but was planning on the kleemann headers but was told that check engine light might come on due to the downpipe. btw down pipe is just a piece of tube nothing inside of it.thanks for reply.

I know that but I wasnt sure of what comes with the Kleemann headers some say 200 cell primary cats and the rest say downpipes.

I am having mine installed by Vadim this weekend. The price of $2995 comes complete with downpipes but the Racing Cats are $380 extra.

Congradulations in advance, sorry to go offtopic but are there phelonic spacers for our NA 5.5L V8's to keep the heat down especially in Summer where the heat is a killer since I am based in Kuwait?
