Nitrous Kit Installed
Well, I wanted to show everyone at the track the new install, but due to management issues, I didn't get a chance to use it.
I installed a 35 shot kit on the car.
![](http://www.renntechc32.com/nitrous.jpg)
It is a wet kit by Zex. I installed 95% of it on my own and had the shop finish a few loose ends. It was pretty easy and anyone could do it. The Zex kit uses the Throttle Position voltage to activate the juice. The TP alone worried me, so I installed a push button in the top center of my dead pedal. The arming switch and purge button are located behind the hood release.
The purge tube is located above the battery and discharges through the vents in the hood....pretty cool stuff.
I decided to install the nozzle before the SC after talking with Renntech and Zex numerous times. Both insisted that the cooling affects would be worth more than the 35 shot itself. Yes, I'm injecting fuel / nitrous mix into the supercharger. I know, it sounds strange, but both the tuner and the manufacturer both said to install it there.
The results?
Blown motor... J/K![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I managed to pick up 38Whp and over 45Wtrq on a Dyno Dynamics! The first pull was 360Whp and 383WTrq. Keep in mind that this is on a dyno dynamics!
A/F Ratio was richer with the juice than without. Renntech recommended using one fuel jet larger than the instructions said to.
I feel that the kit is safe and an easy way to pick up monster HP. Not bad for a 35 shot!

Sweeeeet! Congrats man!
Hey - do you know if it is possible / feasible to combine Nitrous AND Methanol (maybe have the MeOH spray into the top air distributors?)

I will be stealing your idea on the rear tank for the intercooler, and I REALLY appreciate all of your hard work, effort, and advise.
See yeah

I know its been posted to death, but Whipple, which is a Lysholm screw always spoke against injecting a WET mixture due to rotor clearance issues. If it sprays fine, no problems, if it puddles AT ALL, the rotors will lock "Hydraulicly" I have my fingers crossed my friend

Thanks guys!
I decided to not use this on the street....too much temptation. I left off the remote bottle opener because if I had access to it, I would use it.
I'm still working through a few bugs with the kit. I noticed that my EGT seems too high and that the car can't get the hot gases out fast enough. It may be because of the extra fuel and I might need to step up the N02 one jet or reduce the fuel jet down one.
N02 should lower my EGT, not raise it.

02 C32 AMG sold!
So you made 2-3psi more then. Interesting, I thought you'd
make more boost than that...
The reason I ask because I have a customer who has a M3
Turbo, w/out spray he runs 17psi, on spray he dials it to low
boost which is 12psi + spray springs back up to 18psi, this is
on a 50 shot.

For some reason I can't see the setup picture but seen it at the track that day a little at RT.66. Let us know how it works out as to reliabillity cause I thought about doing that before instead of pullies and ECU flash. Let me know and hopefully see you at the track at US41 on October 13.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
