A local shop said they would use a polished aluminum pipe and connect it with clamps(not cheap ones)"the same ones vipers, bmw and audi use" ??? What do you guys think? They are only going to charge $125. I think I should spend a little more $ and get stainless pipes and weld them. Is this what everyone has done to replace the res? Please let me know. Thank you.

Mine cost $50 for Aluminized, but I am in Cali, so I didn't mind not having SS. Doesn't sound like a great deal. Any exhaust shop can do it, take it to the cheapest place you can find. Two cuts and two welds, not rocket science

Like Brandon (code3smith) said, it's not rocket science. I took mine to a a run-of-the-mill muffler shop and paid the same $50's. Don't be taken by some "performance shop".
