Black Series 030 Steering Wheel

Hi --

Anyone know if this 030 CLK63 Black Series Steering Wheel will fit on the C55? Obviously, one would have to purchase the matching airbag, but would the electronic fittings work?

ebay listing: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ME:X:AAQ:DE:11

(Did a search and didn' t quite find the answer.)

Regards,

More importantly I wonder if the c55's airbag fits it, how nice would that be? Sick stearing wheel for sure. I love my paddles and that wheel looks to be much thicker and more ergonomic for sure.

C55's airbag is 3-spoke. you'll need a 4-spoke CLK airbag.

Have you check out the Brabus steering wheel for a C55? it looks just as good if not better.

sure will need another airbag ... the main thing is that if it'll fit all the plug and electronics inside the wheel ... i wouldn't mind to get one if they are compatible

The ebay seller has said he usually only has one or two wheels at a time.

And forget about trying to get one of these from your local dealer, even at a discounted price you'll hate the price.

Please post a picture of the Brabus S.W. I looked up the Brabus web site and only found this listing:

"171-805-10 BRABUS sports steering wheel ø 380 mm
with BRABUS shift paddles
combination leather/Alcantara black
only for C 55 from 04/2004"

I did not find any pictures or price of the S.W.

Good Job, I like it and best of all, I wouldn't have to purchase a new airbag. Do you know how much it costs and who sells it?

On the other hand, in keeping with my general theme of all AMG and MB upgrades, the 030 SW would be better for resale, if it fits.
