When I turn on the heated seats should it stay on the setting I put it on? There are two setting a high and a low (One red dot being low and two red dots being high) I have been setting it on the two red dots and leaving it there. After just a little while it kicks down to just one red dot. This just does not seem right.

Nope - it's working correctly. It switches to 'low heat' after a certain amount of time.

actually i think its supposed to do this. It does it on my dads 2001 s430.

yup, and after a longer period of time it will completely shut-off, it is set on a timer either setting you select...
