Mercury Warranty experience
I just wanted to share a warranty repair kudo for Mercury. C32 went into MB dealer for repair: rough idle, power loss under acceleration, check engine light on. Diagnosis: Heat exchanger. Estimate: $2000+. Mercury paid all but $56. I have the zero deductible, Platinum coverage plan. Best investment I ever made. Thanks, Mercury!

I'm glad for you. Those rat bas***ds won't write a policy for a C32 in the state of California. My CPO expired last April and I have not found anyone to cover my car now.

Doesn't matter. When I first called them, I had less than 50K on the car. They said that they don't touch any C32's. I talked to the "warranty gurus" of Southern California (thanks Splinter) and even they admitted that it is impossible to get the C32 covered in California. Nobody wants 'em.

Wow, 2k for a HE replacement? Ouch, would have been a good time if you were out of warranty to get one of the aftermarket ones posted here. Makes me glad I got Mercedes' extended warranty before it went up in price.
