Planning on switching to this oil...
Royal Purple prior to Drag strip season 2008 what you think and what thickness will work best for 80% daily driving and 5% AutoX 15% drag strip?

i would not use royal purple. MB approves 229.3 or 229.5 oils and RP does not meet this requirement.
read your manual, it specifies there what oils are approved that meets 229.3 or 229.5 certification.
i actually use elf Excellium in my Audi and so far it is better than mobil1. i will be using elf in the C32 on the next oil change.

I would not use Royal Purple on the track right away. Start slowly on the street and see how the car is performing with it, then slowly increase load to maybe track level. I'm still using Mobile 1, but I'll be in a very similar position as you're in when it is time for my next oil change
