Twin-Turbo & Twin-Screw SCharged C55!

HPS is GONE and now Twin Turbos and Twin Screw In!!!

Twin Turbos will be installed in rear fender wells to supplement high-end power to low-mid range power of Twin Screws.

First C55 in the US to have both! Project is just getting started!

Soon avator would have to changed to AMGSC TT?

Sounds like a sweet project!

Are you using the same motor or did you have anything done to lower the compression ratio?

Boring, New Pistons, Tranny clutch packs, etc.. It'll be under the guidance of somebody we all know and trust in So. Cal. The two Vs??? Must keep tight-lipped until it is complete and tested. May take a couple of months but maybe sooner depending on their availability. Working on some 1,000+rwhp SL65s now....and must wait. Car is in their shop. Riding my DUC now.

With bored cylinders, new pistons, reinforced everything...Who knows..I'm hoping for something close to 850rwhp or possibly even more. It may end up a C65 SCTT when we're done.

Vadim and Vrus

post progression pics when it goes along, we'd like to see the hardware going in.

BTW, why put turbos in the rear fender well?

No room in the engine bay. Also weight balance. Already added weight of Supercharger and Larger HE to the front end. Done on other models also...

Another option is remove Spare tire bin and mount them underneath the trunk.

Yes
AWESOME project man. Sounds real cool.

I absolutely think youre better off with a properly sized turbo setup but hey, even if the results are similar this is pretty insane and a cool accomplishment.

Twin-Charging is where it's at!

It has been done before on other engines with outrageous results.

Great Project and I can't wait to see the Power Results...

You couldn't have chosen a better team..... Vadim and Victor know so much about our cars, develop terrific products, and are great to deal with. I'm following their 1000+ hp SL65 so anxiously, and now I'll have to keep an eye on your project as well. Very exciting stuff.......

Trust me ,with the 5.5L v8, tq will not be an issue if you go turbo only. If they are sized right the car will still run like a bat outta hell all thru the rpm range. Two turbo's and a supercharger sounds like overkill in my opinon. Look at the turbocharged corvette projects for ex. And the TT vipers.
On these cars I'd say do one or the other,it's not like it's a 4 cyl car like my Talon.

Plus I thought Victor and Vadim were just gonna gut the supercharger for ease of installing a TT setup without worrying about building a whole new intake mani setup?

sounds like airplane
ya,

the only thing that makes TT cooler is nitrous or meth.- both literally and figuratively.

You'll have plenty of tq to get moving with a proper turbo for real (and if you need more use a bit of nitrous to spin things up)

it can't be worth the money (even for someone obviously spending $$$$$ on a car) to mess with the custom work involved for both, particularly when it's not going to make it faster or more fun.

Anybody want to buy a Kleemann Twin Screw?

I can still sell my Kleemann Twin-Screw if Vadim changes his mind. It's still got plenty of market value right? I also purchased the tiny 65mm Kleemann SC pulley to add another 2 lbs of boost.

UHh Robert there was an m5 who tried to put the turbos in the back that never worked right i would suggest looking at newer technology. Also they were horribly laggy even though they were full bb turbos. Anyone that tell you this works.....well. They also had a problem with oiling the turbos.

I know Gintani is doing cnc exhaust manifolds now......can you say compact turbo system.

I know there was a guy that was doing this to mustangs replacing the muffler with turbos. Also why use the original c55 block.... the na block is weak compared to its supercharged counterpart.

Id like to hear how they plan to oil the thing properly as well as how they believe the main caps wont walk. There is a difference in blocks. Get everything in writing dont be foolish....
