I'm reviving this post from the dead.

I faxed my order to cory for the kleemann headers and ecu today.

I dynoed at 315 on a dynojet with k&ns, removed secondaries and resonator. However I MAY have a LET tune on my car? The former owner used to post here and at one point in time he said he had a LET tune on my c55 but when he sold me the car he never said anything about aftermarket parts done.

Regardless, I think i'd rather have the kleemann header specific tune to go with the headers than the generic LET tune.

So once they get installed, I'll try to get it dynoed soon thereafter. Theres a dyno day on the 14th here in western washington but I doubt I'll have my headers on by then. But stay posted!

Kleeman question/help

Good Day-
New guy question- does Kleeman have a website dedicated to the U.S. or do I have to go to independent shops to get parts? I am very interested in the header, ECU upgrade and the other items mentioned but I am not getting to far finding any information. I live in Tampa and Kleeman has C2 Design listed as a retailer but I have not contacted them yet.

The numbers you are talking about are very awesome and I want some of that for my ride.

Thanks and I apologize if I have hijacked your post.
Take care.

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 562 Nm :-)
I have only the ECU-tune done on my C55. Kleemann in Denmark
tried it before and after the tune on the road and they claimed
it had 390-400 hp after the tune. They told me that with headers
too, I would have 410 hp, which they had measured on another car.
Normally the ECU-tune will give approx 380 hp, but it wary from car
to car I was told.
Anyway I´m very pleased with the ECU-tune, the car feels much
crispier than before. About the new hp-level, I don´t know but
I´m very pleased with it!!
Kleemann told me that they were backing ignition, adjusting fuel and
taking away limits in the original program, for example, the push in
2:nd gear is now better than before and it comes on more brutal than
originally on all gears. The car should have been like this from factory...
The ECU-tune took more than 2 hours.

My 2 cents.

Thanks for bringing back this tread. Did you get the headers and tune done yet?
I am looking at doing the same thing and would love to hear what you say.

I just spoke to Chris last week at C2 design. He did work on my S4 a long time ago and did a great job. He was telling me he had a client that he did the headers, tune, sport cats, and pullies and the car was very strong.
I am will be doing headers and tune sometime next month, just trying to decide which way I am going.

I agree with ALL of the above except that ALL of these mods were done in conjunction WITH a tune, so its really hard to tell if it was the TUNE or the other mods (exhaust/res delete/KN) that were making the HP. Except for ONE (1) dyno on Jerry's EC site, I have not seen a single dyno where it shows there's an HP increase with a tune ONLY. I have seen some where there is a tune plus other mods or just the exhaust res delete (more sound related than anything) BUT not a single one (dyno) where just the tune increases (substantially) the HP on the C55?? If you show me one where the HP increases by just 10 HP( that could just be a variance in the run) then I'd buy into this.

Perhaps MHP, OE Tuning, Speedriven or even EC can chime in here???

I was not saying anything about a tune alone increasing hp? I have the res and secondary cats deleted along with KN. I am looking to add the headers along with a tune next month. I am just trying to see what headers to go with so I get the most hp. Would be nice to hear them beforehand but I don't see that happening. We don't have emissions testing so I will get rid of the primary cats if doing LT headers is shown to give me more hp.

Nope, SRQ sure does NOT have emissions!! Although FHP and SRQ police can be a real PIA for modded cars!!! Particularly C32s and C55s!!! They'll set up those Microphones on 41 and get you as you're going by!!

You live in the area? Knock on wood no problem with noise stuff yet. This car is quiet compared to my Roush mustang with no cats, race mufflers, and side exhaust. Don't have any FHP friends, but do have SRQ cops buddies if I do happen to get pulled over.

I'm hoping to get another dyno (this one focused on my hp and torque....my last was focused on hp and mph....didn't have torque reading).

I currently have an ECU tune on my car (C55). And I plan on upgrading my headers. So i figure I should have a decent foundation based on this upcoming dyno to be able to estimate the benefits of adding headers.
