IMHO, there's no real substitute for the look and function of the factory bi-xenons, but it's a fairly pricey mod (even discounted vendors, it'll probably cost at least $1,500 - $2,000, plus installation).

If you just want to upgrade bulbs, you can buy HID retrofit kits from several forum sponsors - one popular one that I'm aware of is Stealth Auto's slim-ballast HID kits. One thing you may (or may not) think is important - I'm pretty sure that retrofitting HID kits into halogen headlights is not technically street legal, primarily because it doesn't self-level (someone correct me if that's wrong).

Or another option is to go with a high-performance halogen bulb like the PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs. Hella also makes a Xenon Blue bulb that supposedly looks pretty decent. General consensus on Silverstar bulbs is that there're better options elsewhere, I believe.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

What about the depo black backed housing with tsx projectors? Has anybody tried that yet? I wonder how that would compare to the oem bi-xenons...

I think Ray(neihouma) has a set of bi-zenon 4 sale if not Depo clear housing with HID kit will look identical to factory. Except no auto-leveling. Its all up to you if you wish to spend $1000+ for OEM or $400-600 for Depo aftermarket installed WITH hid kit. If the money is abundant then get OEM(factory) if limited Depo will be more then fine.

i JUST BOUGHT cLEAR dEPO HOUSINGS FOR LIKE $360 ON eBAY. I already have a HID kit installed. You can buy HID kits on ebay. There are sponsors here that also sells HID kits.....they look identical to the OEM and light way better then a regular H7 bulb. No one can tell the difference easily unless you know exactly what comes with the OEM. There are others who are fanatics like me that just don't see why not Depo for the much lower price tag.
