That's terrible and can relate- though not in the current car but another I drive.

Let me guess the driver couldn't see over the wheel either. I have a neighbor that's always driving their expedition with the drivers mirror colapsed. She already backed into a car visiting me in my driveway. You think people would learn from their mistakes.

Keep us all posted.

They wont repaint the whole side, It'll be the two doors and then a blend into the front and rear qtrs. Havent seen the estimate , but sounds like they skinned the doors? Need more damage than that for those to be replaced entirely.

$585 should be a new door right?

No, that's not for a new door. That'll cover the "door skin", or as they listed it, "shell". The internal door structure was apparently not damaged, therefore they just "re-skin" the door. Obviously with this they'll repaint both door skins once they're installed, and have to blend it accordingly. However, he's probably right in that they won't actually repaint the entire side of the car unless it can be justified in labor costs to be cheaper to do the whole side rather than the time it takes to blend.
You should probably push them on the issue. Since you're shipping the car overseas very soon, you've gotta' make sure it's done correctly and to your total satisfaction, as you'll obviously not be able to get it fixed by the same shop afterwards, and all additional costs/fixes would come out of your pocket from that point forward.

That's funny! The freight alone from Deutschland is probably $100.

Here I was thinking you were unlucky! I just got t-boned today . Lady ran a red light and I got it on the driver's side. I made out OK. Both doors were damaged. Air bags deployed. At least she got the worst of it.

Yeah I don't know what the hell is going on. Just ruined my weekend. I was so bitter I didn't even want to take a pic of the car. But physically the damage was OK. She must have hit my reinforcement bar. But both doors will need to be replaced and my rear rim as well. I actually need to repaint my hood to fix a ton of chips - but that was totally untouched Oh well....

That's MIA for you. She's okay. She's just putting on a dog and pony show for the cops. (I know this bc Dkflipse told me) Overdramatizing for the ambulance chasers.

Looks like that cop been hanging out at Dunkin Donuts

The speed limiter is supposed to be removed, according to speedtuning. Im curious to see how quick I can go from Nurnberg to Trier in Germany.
