Autocar mag with direct C32 vs M3 test
BMW's cheaper? Yeah, by like $200....
LOL.... as I postet in another thread, MB is 4 % more expensive than BMW. Audi is 3 % cheaper than BMW.
This applies on every compareable model (is that a right sentence??)
Then of course, if you want to get technical, the C32 needs some suspension upgrades, but BMW service sucks , so....
All in all, the price difference is NOT a consideration, unless you do not want any options....in which case the bare M3 is a good buy at $46k.
my friend's fully loaded M3 came out to be $64k after tax without the extended warranty. my C32 is $62k after tax including the extended warranty. comparing option by option other than the parktronic wasn't availble on the 02, the only difference is that i don't have the $2k command system. But i did get the $2k extended warranty. after all, if my car does have the command and no extended warranty my car will still turn out to be around $62k cheaper than the fully loaded M3.
sorry for that missunderstanding but I wasn´t talkin about M or AMG models. Just the standart cars.
For example:
BMW 530 = 59K¤
MB E 320 = 62K¤
And thats more expensive. And the Tax and insurance is cheaper for BMW in germany.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
anyway, in the states BMW's insurance is average higher than MBs especially the 3-series. Might be because the average age of a 3-series driver is getting younger and younger, and the crash rate is getting higher because of this.
