the supercharger engages under load and anytime above 2900rpm. most of us have only bested 23mpg on the freeway and 17.5-18mpg on average combined with the city driving. this is no where efficient even compared to the regular 320 which combined can average 22-23mpg.
still hurting at the gas pump...![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

Not arguing the supercharger, just saying that the 08 C350 I drove was NOT that great for fuel mileage and was about 2 MPG worse than my C32 and I babied that C350 with cruise and all on my daily commute down 53 and across the I 290. Plus, its a LOT slower than my C32.

i average around 20-22mpg combined city and highway. city i get around 16-18mpg and highway i get around 23-27mpg in my c32.
The thing i love about boosted cars is that if your out of boost, its basically a 150hp econobox, but then when you go into boost its a 349hp monster.

Actually you people on the other side (US & Canada) of the big pond (Atlantic) have it really good, it seems.
Here in Finland (EU) the 95 octane (cheapest) fuel currently costs about 1.51 euros per liter so that's about USD 2.40 per liter and thus about USD 9.08 per US gallon!!! I won't even go into our crazy car taxation, but for example a new S65 AMG is 418.000 euros, so that's about USD 660.000. I think Denmark (and probably Norway) is in the same league... It's pretty obvious that the government hates cars (or loves to tax/punish their owners) here!
P.S. Our speeding tickets have no limits and are based on your income, so for a ridiculous 20km/h overspeed a corporate executive etc. can get a speeding ticket of for example 170.000 euros or USD 272.000. Even the international media were interested in one example case:

keep in mind US is completely different from Europe. Most European countries put heavy taxes on petro to encourage people to use disesel since its more fuel efficient and produce less co2 emissions.
Since the US doesn't put as huge of tax as Europe on petro, you'll notice that disesel is more expensive then 91 oct premium fuel.
So most people don't use disesel in the US.
Also Americans hate taxes, keep in mind we fought a war against the most powerful empire in the world at the time, so we wouldn't have to pay any.
Americans would rather not pay any taxes so our health care system sucks, pay almost 10 times more for the same medicines even when compared to europe. Its probably one of the only things Americans pay more then the Europeans, even though most of those medicines are produced here.
Also pay for a broken social security system, that probably will go bankrupt in 30yrs.
All so we can buy houses we can't afford and buy cars we can't afford.
Basically we don't like paying for services we need, so we can buy crap we dont need.
sorry for the rant, but just want show how its a apples to orange comparison.

I also have the K & N filters too, might help a little bit on the mpg.
also keep in mind i'm on the stock 17's vs your 19's. The 19's will kill your mpg.

i've seen 27mpg once actually when i was on the 210 heading west, but once i exited the freeway around arcadia it dropped to 21mph. you can pretty much imagine how crappy the city mpg is for this car.
but overall modded vs non-modded C32 the mpg vary very little.
