3 Shift Speeds?
I was reading the R&T review of the C63 and it noted that the speedshift 7spd has 3 shift speeds- Comfort, Sport, Manual. The Manual is supposed to take 1/2 the time of the Comfort and Sport falls in the middle. Is this the same for the C55 5spd speedshift? I thought sport and manual had the same shift speeds.

The official press release information for the C55 states that the AMG Speedshift 5 speed automatic transmission can shift 35% faster. What they don't specify is 35% faster than what???......35% faster than the standard non-AMG 5 speed transmission????.......or is it S-mode being 35% faster than C-mode?????.......or is it M-mode being 35% faster than C-mode???.....etc, etc.
Someone on the AMG priviate lounge tried to clarify this with AMG. There was no official response.
My guess is that the shift speed between the S-mode and M-mode is the same, and that the 35% faster part refers to it being faster than the standard non-AMG 5 speed transmission......but that's just a guess.
