Perhaps he'd be willing to have Vadim fit the VRP headers on his 55 also..

80TB will not fit straight forward. We will have to make a new housing to make it happen.

I still do not think it is going to be worth a lot of power. On 55 Kompressor engines it is 15RWHP on a stock car and 20RWHP on a Stage II car. We might see 5-10RWHP for a package that will likely be over $2000.

But it will make power on kleemann supercharged cars! I'll pay $2k for 20whp

How about a 65mm Kleemann Twin-Screw SC Pulley for $200 that made 12lbs of boost when Vadim installed it on my car two weeks ago.

It made obscene power but I don't want to risk it because I've got 2 weak cylinders. I'm saving for a V12 Quad-Turbo VRP special.

How much power did it make? I'd also be weary of running that much boot with such high compression

Thanks for the info on the TB Vadim, and thanks Andy for the fitment test!

P.S. Vadim, are these modded E55K airboxes available through your Ontario Canada outlet? Or just your California shop?

How much is that going to cost? Will it fit a SLK55?

Cost not yet determined. And no. You would need a twin turbo V12 to begin with and then 2 addiitonal turbos are added

Tubes are more important!!!

I hear everybody get excited about the 55K Air boxes BUT the Air TUBES need to modified as well!

The opening/mouth can be enlarged and the tube area where it bends toward the center can also be widened.

Vadim is looking to do a custom one for me.

The secret with the tubes is you cut your stock ones in half (the side that mounts to the inlets near the front of the car) and use the E55 intake tubes cut in half to mount to the box. Use a Samco hose or any other hose to join the two and woila! You can send a check to my house, make sure it's blank and you have plenty of money in the account!

I hope it's really that simple. Vadim, Why don't you just do it free of charge instead of your usual car wash.

I was being serious in the first half of my post. Want me to take better pics?

Mine just has a Samco hose stuck onto the E55 airbox and connected to the front half of my stock intake tubes. Now you need to send me two blank checks! New setup coming very soon but not all will like it. Should make power though

Looks good but what about the size of the opening/mouth? I want to make that bigger to catch as much air from the grill as possible and force it into the tubes.

Ah! Smart man, that is my next project. Parts came in today but I wasn't home to sign for it. Most people will think it's over the top though. The inlets on the W208 are tiny and are blocked by the hood when it is closed. So how would you get around this problem? Stay tuned

Any updates?

Vadim is reluctant to develop modified scoops and tubes since demand for the 55 Airboxes were low.

Come On guys. Get the Airbox so Vadim can throw in the Air Scoops/Tubes for a hefty discount!

The 55 Airboxes was one key reason I picked up almost another 100hp over HPS.
