Visited the Mercedes Benz museum in Stuttgart, Germany today. It only cost 4 Euros for me and the boy to get in. Even in Germany they offer a military discount. So thats cool. Everything Mercedes resides within this 8 story building. OMG this is like Mecca for the Mercedes enthusiast. I seen the very first Mercedes made, up close and personal, all the way to the newest SLR Mclaren. Black series, C63, E55, you name it. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the pictures.

PS I also took video of me hitting 170MPH on the autobahn. Dont want to go faster until I get Y rated tires. I will add the video shortly.

Why does C63 cost 100,000 euros in Germany? I thought it would be cheaper since they made them there, 100 euros ~ $160, so they're paying 2.5 times more than us

Damn! Those were some smoking fast minivans you were encountering on the autobahn. You were doing over 140 and they weren't that much slower. Nice vid. Maybe next time you can have someone else hold the camera though.

 

Dammit...no, but I saw one. Notice that BMW has the M1 that looks similiar to the C111....wierd .Guess which one is ths C111.

 

Awww...who needs Stuttgart for stinkin' C111's. There's one right around the corner from my home, at the Mercedes Classics Center in Irvine. It was gone for a while, to visit the Peterson Museum, but its was back last time I stopped by.

You are right about the camera part. Really 170 feels like 130. The car feels tight but there is a howl at about 150MPH. I think its the mirrors. Its annoying.

 

that's why a lot of European are coming to US to purchase and ship the car back now. For a lot of reason US still has the cheapest cars.

 

The Euro to dollar rate is horrible. Thats why im glad the wife gets paid in Euro.

Great video. It scared me though. I agree with Scott, have someone else hold the camera at 170!

On a side note, in the 1:30 video doing those speeds, you could visibly see the fuel gauge drop.

120, 130MPH is the norm on the autobahn. Pretty funny though to see a mini van going that fast.
