Stupid, simple, electrical problem. Turn signal bulb.
My right turn signal bulb (amber) seemed to be out. In the past, I was able to re-establish contact by cleaning the terminals, but it didn't work. So I got a new bulb. It didn't solve the problem. What's odd is that if I pull the bulb (twist out the little socket with the bulb inserted), clean the terminals, and put it back in, it will give ONE flash, and then go into non-functioning mode (with the double-speed flash on the dashboard).
Any ideas why it might work for one flash, then stop?

Same thing happened to me
bulbs kept blowing so took it in to the dealer who told me it was a common fault and due to the bulb holder shorting or something.
had the harness upgrade and problem solved

same thing. sprayed the contacts with wd 40, and put a small screwdriver behind them, and pushed them inwards to tighten up the fit to the base of the bulb.
