2001 C180 Sports Hatch
Use of additives
I have had my C180 serviced by a dealer, oil changed to Mobil 1. They also added an oil additive (friction proof) which surprised me. Is this recommended by MB? Car has done 45,000 miles. Many thanks.

Well,MB officially says to not use any-and for good reason since MOST additives suck;but I wouldnt worry about anything ur mechanic hooked u up with & there's a gas additive called RXP that I have used regularly for about 10yrs & the stuff is awesome. Our engines arent so touchy & fragile that u should be scared of every warning they put in the manual.
