w mode
what do w mode next to the gear shift mean??is it for winter??will economy be better on w mode??

Yes it's Winter or Wet. It starts in second gear and shifts later. It will improve fuel economy slightly, but reduce performance.

In W mode (or C mode in newer models), the car starts in 2nd gear and shifts EARLIER (at lower rpm), not later.
