Car acting weird
Hi. I started up my car today and it reved up to about 2500rpm (usually doesn't go past 2000), it very rarely does this but it's nothing new, however once I put it in R the display went up and said that something is wrong with the computer and ESP, check Engine Light went on and display said that I had to take it to a shop, I reved it and the exhaust made a strange sound like it had something in it. Anyway I put it in D when I backed out and it wouldn't go past 1000~1500 rpm and drove no faster than 10mph. I called up Erick and he told me to disconnect the battery to reset the ESP so I ran back to my apt. for tools and told my friend to mess around with the car while i'm away.
I come back and guess what?
The car is running normal again, my buddy said he turned it off when I left and let it stand there for a little bit and then started it up again. Check engine light was off and the display had the normal info again.
Something similar to this happened a few weeks back when I downshifted into speeshift and after flooring the transmission kicked back and didn't shift (this was at about 65~80mph) The message on display was the same, but I don't recall an engine check light at that time.
Weird crap..
Anyone know what this might be?

I come back and guess what?
The car is running normal again, my buddy said he turned it off when I left and let it stand there for a little bit and then started it up again. Check engine light was off and the display had the normal info again.
Something similar to this happened a few weeks back when I downshifted into speeshift and after flooring the transmission kicked back and didn't shift (this was at about 65~80mph) The message on display was the same, but I don't recall an engine check light at that time.
Weird crap..
Anyone know what this might be?
