Been in the Army for over 7 years...made E6..been deployed 4 times (working on #5 in Jan) Got the CLK63 for 122k, dropped 30k down on the car...the payments are murder but...you have to pay to play. Also at that time i didnt see dropping 100k+ on a car as a stupid move...hell i was trying to get a Lamborghini Murcielago but Woodside Finance requires 20-25% down and then i would have a 2400 a month payment...for 12 years. I make good money when i am deployed, but i am also risking my life. As a Spec-Ops soldier i do a lot more than a lot of others do but when i come home its worth it. I never know when that round will come for me, so i try to live well and have fun while i can. i have been over there in hell between Iraq and Afghanistan for almost 6 years...or most of my military career. And you are right...we dont make enough...did we ever really? Its getting better...as an E6 i am ok...but tell the Private with a wife and 3 kids that he makes too much. That will come from the man in the 1k dollar custom suit, who drove to work in his luxury car, gets escorted to his plush office by over paid butt kissers just so he can plop down in his big chair in front of his big desk (all of which the tax payer has footed the bill for) to plan the confrence in the caymans via private jet so he can sit in a 2500 dollar a night hotel, watch opra, eat bon-bon's and make plans to screw the american public out of more money to justify him passing a bill to raise his paycheck for all the hard work that he has done. Go Figure. I do what i do because i love my country and my fellow americans to include all of you whom i have never met. I dont do it for the money..i do it because there are those who cant, and i can. Sorry for ranting...good to let it out though.
