Sorry if this is old, but please help!

Check engine light suddently came on, code read P0410 secondary air injection system. What/where/how I can fix the problem (dyi)? is it expensive?

Usually it's the pump that goes bad... mine did, once the car was just barely out of warranty (from years - the mileage was still way under 50k). Because of my fairly unique situation, my local MB dealer offered to fix it, giving me the parts for free, as long as I paid for their labor. Doing it math, it was cheaper for me to go that route, than to buy the new parts and DIY.

It's technically an emissions component (sole purpose is to reduce start-up emissions, IIRC) but is definitely not covered under the longer emissions warranty... only the original factory warranty. If you live in a state with annual emissions inspections, you'll fail inspection if your secondary air injection system is malfunctioning. Good luck with your fix
