water pump broke on me today

hey guys i think my water pump broke on me today. i started the car and it made a funny grinding now so i poped the hood and i could see coolant leaking below where the water pump pulley is. i double checked to see if was the hoses or the coolant tank but nothing. when i started the car also i noticed that the water pump pulley itself wouldn't spin and then stop spinning. so is it my water pump itself or the pulley?? how much do you think will cost to replace it? and does anybody know the part number? thanks

Sounds like water pump bearing failure. I'm not sure how much a new W.P. will be though.

It sounds like the water pump pulley bearing was originally the problem - Your pump may also probably messed up at this stage so you'll need to rule that out before you go replacing the pulley.
According to my old notes, the water pump part number is 1122001301 and the part number for the pulley itself is 1122020110. Note that if you are changing the pump, you should also obtain the necessary gaskets, etc.
C32'ers - if these part numbers are outdated, please correct me.
I'm not sure of the price of the pump from the dealership - probably a little less than $500, but it can be had for less at your run-of-the-mill discount internet store.
