How to get dash piece off?
I've had the stereo/climate control area apart several times, but never this piece to the right of that. I think I have every screw in the vicinity removed - it moves and kind of wants to come out by just pulling, but it seems like maybe that gear might be holding things up?
Any advice appreciated!

if you removed all the torex screws on the inside, you can pry it out from the bottom on up. Its just tucked really snuggly under the curve of the dash. I took it off when i was running all the wiring for my carputer. But it was a pain in the *** make it fit right when you put it back.
just remember when you use your flat head, to put a piece of cloth over it. Its really easy to make impressions into the plastic.

Be very very careful when you put it back together. That particular piece is a PIA to align with the armrest assembly.
What are you working on?
EDIT: I just realized Temjin already said so... but yes, it's a PIA. Be patient and use the right tools.
