OT - if some of the C55 guys would like to give this a try with a CLS63 steering wheel, let me know. It looks identical to tudu's wheel except for the alcantara part...

Also how are the paddles? The C63's require too much force IMO...
Here's where the wheel came from, and the paddles work great, lot better than the buttons.

thanks for your info!

Yikes! That's pricey Comes with the airbag right? I could just bring it to the shop and have them instal it? The alcantara looks kinda the same color as the leather in their picture...

Also just noticed...could be you're pictures, but your interior is a lot darker than mine! Was it just clean/treated?

No airbag. The airbag is another £300.00. The wheel and airbag is a straight swap and the paddles work straight away. The alcantara is lighter than the black letaher and matches the alcantara patches on front and rear AMG seats, which is one of the reasons i chose this wheel.

I have black nappa leather, and after the install ipod, Birds eye maple and wheel my car was valeted. But as you say probably the pictures. Heres another pic of the wheel.

2005 C55 AMG, 2010 VW GTI (Stage 1)
any update on gear shift knob ideas?

there was some chatter a while ago about coming up with an emblem or cap to replace the plain one the C55 comes with. I think a sticker/cap that says /////AMG or C55 would look pretty hot. I'd love to hear what people think?
