Sunoco 100 Fuel
I have a station near my Home that sells the Sunoco 260 GT100 Street Legal Race Fuel. See www.sunocoinc.com Its the only one of their products for racing that is street legal. Anyone run this yet? Its running about 6.95 per gallon here in IL? Advantages, Disadvantages (other than price of course?) I see lots of Ferraris and Lambos over there getting it.

see my "track day $325 thread" i used it as well as 104 unleaded on track.
basically there is little diff once you have a bigger HE if you running extended sessions. if stock i found that there was a point where the exterior temps negated the 100 octane (car still pulled timing).

unlike turbo cars.. 100 octane is not really a plus'
but it can act as a injector cleaner and I would try it once in while..
but unless tuned for 100oct.. its not going to do anything.

Gonna have to disagree with topgun. the c32 and prob e55 both suffer from heat soak of the puny stock heat exchangers. running 100 or 104 moves the point where knock sets upwards...hence the engine keeps making power; spark is not retarded.

I would have to agree that the "advance" would go up with the 100 or 104. Now, does it make a difference in performance, that's a whole other issue!!

I've tried using the 100+ octane fuels, and one thing is for sure, the engine purrrrrrs like a kitten, so smooth and it feels smoother up top. I tried something pretty reckless once and mixed a very concentrated octane additive and when doing the math according to the instructions, for my 3 gallons of fuel and the ounces mixed, after doing the math that would have raised the octane rating to 125. I did this on a bone dry tank, in other words let her stall out at the pump before filling. HOLY CRAP, that was not all in my head, I barley feathered the gas pedal and it felt like i was giving it 1/4 pedal, it burned real fast too!

you guys are missing my point. the issue is trying to stave off spark retard when the HE become seatsoaked and sends IAT up.
but...the c32 and indeed all my vehicles do run better (smoother, more power) with octane higher than what was specified. even my crummy 14 yr old rusty nissan gets premium when it should run fine on regular. why? i get better gas consumption. perhaps partial throttle advance stays constant with 93??? dunno....
using ocatne additives is pretty much useless. the proper way to do this is using real hi octane fuel.
go get some 100 gt+, run your tank empty and then try ....you're going to be suprised. (as claimax found out).
i run a 5 gal can of 104 unleaded mixed in with 93 in my ferrari. the car absolutey runs better.
