parts/tools needed:
(2) LED bulbs 5watt.
(2) resistors 5watt 100ohm
(1) big flat head screw driver for easy removal of the plastic clips
(1) wire cutter/stripper
(4) screw on metal caps or wire taps
steps in order:
1.remove the plastic cover for the latch. (take a flat head and un-clip the right side.)
2.remove the plastic pegs on the swing arm.
3.remove the plastic pegs on the liner and the liner comes off.
4.locate the connector for each plate light holder. (brown wire = ground, blue-purple/brown wire = live.)
5.connect one end of the resistor to the ground wire and one end of the resistor to the live wire using either metal caps or wire taps. You can connect the resistor anywhere before the connector at the bulb holder.
6. secure the resistor to place where it won't come in contact with anything that might melt.
7. test that the LED does not flicker or thrown error msg before putting everything back.
NOTE: depends on the year of the car some may only need one resistor to the left plate bulb wire in order for both to work. some may need two resistor one for each side.
