could not wait till sunrise. Took me less than 30 minutes to install the CAI.
since I had plenty of daylight left I decided to check/clean my Green filters.
OMG!! They both looked crappy! The edge strips separated from the main filter housing so that filters were actually at the bottom of the air box.

Luckily, after ransacking the garage, I found my old K&Ns which weren't really old ( 8 mos when I took them out). Washed, dried them in the oven at 220 F for 30 mins and very lightly oiled them. went out for a spin and ....
The beast got beastier!!
tomorrow....dyno time.
Thanks Brandon!

4.48 actually recorded and not theoretical from a g-meter thing. Those are notoriously off.

Granted, I have 285/18/35 semi-slicks (street legal) tires on here.

With that app for the phone named "Torque" the fastest I went was 5.0. Mianly mid 5s. Mods are K&N filters, secondary cat + resonator delete, amd X-Pipe.

When i was stock 4.9s 0-60, now with Eurocharged Tune, 2nd removed and filters I get around 4.3s 0-60 was my best time.

What did you measure it with and how did you launch?

striking this thread back to life- I enjoy my SBII 90% of the time, but launching is not one of them. I light them up just thinking about the accelerator pedal. Does anyone have a tip for smooth launches with SBII set on green? (I would prefer to not have to turn it off unless at the strip)
mods: SBII Green/Res and Secondaries gone/K&N filters/Eurocharged Tune & (255/40 Bridgestone 760 Sports)

Best way to launch is sport mode ESP off, hold brakes, rev 1200rpm, let off brakes, gently press gas, remember squeeze gas pedal not hammer it, until you hit 2nd gear, I consistently hit 0-60 4.8 on cheap street tires, with better tires I got better times...

I was the OP on this. Just realized that I never got around to thanking everyone for their help. Responses were enough to help convince the dealer that something really wasn't right. They got it sorted out and the car's been great ever since. Thanks!!
