Racing: Heat on or off?

My car runs much cooler when I have my heat blasting. Anyone too? Has anyone done back to back runs with heat on then nothing on?

yup....forces the hot air out of the engine....we typically do that between runs...

just make sure to turn it off when dyno'n or running. I forgot on the dyno once and lost 15hp

I can tell you that during road course 30 minute sessions, our rads and a Code3 HE. are plenty and I do not use the heater. This is an old drag racing trick to help cool down inbetween runs. And yes it does help for that. AKA turn the heater on FULL force on the return trip from the end of the 1/4 track. Let it run for about 2-3 minutes. For the raod course, ZERO benefits my friend.

See yeah

wouldn't just popping the hood after runs yield the same results? In my Camaro back in the day it would over heat and turning the heat to full blast would deff help. Do any of you C32 guys ice down your SC after runs?

I don't ice down BUT use the "patented" forced air induction of a cheap 6 battery D cell fan on top of the Intakes. Wayne has now adopted my plan as well.
