Whirling sound from the rear
I replaced both rear Nitto 555s 265s after one of them picked up a broken up threaded machine bolt which caused air leaks and eventually side wall bumps
due to improper tire inflation.
I ended up getting a pair of Nankangs which were okay for the price.
After 12K miles, the whirling sound started usually at 70 mph and up and getting louder.
This easily could be a tire problem but, has anyone experienced wobbling sounds that could indicate something wrong with perhaps the drive shaft, flex discs, cv/universal joints, etc.?
Before the Nangkangs, Nittos didn't really have that noise problem.
BTW: i have Goodyear GSD3s in front. thanks for you input.
