question for LET
Question to LET for the C55ers that run 91oct. Most western state and parts of Canada run 91oct could you maybe do a run with this tune and mix your 93oct with some 87oct giving you just about 91oct and see what the numbers say and what the A/F reads? some C55ers seem concerned about running a map made for an octane they simply can not get.

All of our tunes include free reflashes. So, it is your responsibility to get your car on a dyno and provide us with the info we need to create the perfect tune.
The mail tunes are great, but nothing compares to a custom tune on the dyno. Why not throw the car on the dyno, send us the graphs along with the ECU and get an updated ECU flash for nothing more than shipping costs?

What I meant to say was 89oct and 93oct = just about 91oct mix. It sounds like you just cant beat your retune offer. Maybe I should note to other C55ers; companies like Renntech charge for custom retunes, their reflashes are free but custom tuning for added parts just cost me $500. Right now I would say the LET tune is the best tune option going. No company is going to be able to beat this price wise. Its the best deal going hands down.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

2005 C55 AMG
Hello,
Hows the drivability after the tune? I use my C55 as a daily driver. Any improvement in Gas mileage like the "other" tunes claim?
Let me know.
Thanks,

LET Tune
I'd like to thank Jerry and Wayne of LET for an outstanding job they did on my C55. They have impeccable work ethics and customer service with the level of attention to details you rarely see anywhere else.
I always wanted to mode my car and was playing with different ideas during 3.5 years that I have it - Kleemann/Renntech supercharger (hooleboy - I know how you feel!) or just ECU tune. Supercharger road seemed quite expensive and I was always wondering if I should just make an upgrade to E55 instead. Kleemann/Renntech ECU tune was my second alternative but warranty voids and price/gain ratio were my concerns. So I stayed stock till my extended warranty expired and decided to get ECU tune. At that time LET was getting a lot of attention for their excellent E55 tunes and when Jerry offered using my car to produce C55 tune I agreed.
What a difference! LET ECU tune spiced up my experience and put extra smiles on my face every time I drive it. I put around 8,000 miles since the tune (just passed 100,000 mark) and very happy with my tune with no electrical or mechanical issues to report. Car feels stronger, gets to redline faster and fells sharper overall. You would think that with our stock power you wouldn't notice extra horses and torque but you definitely do. MPG stayed the same. I got exactly what I was hoping for - an extra excitement from driving my car and a great customer services from LET!

The biggest problem I have with LET's ECU tuning services is not the $500, the performance numbers or the cost of putting the car on a dyno to get an optimized tune. The biggest problem is having to remove the ECU and sending it somewhere. Even if I send it Fed Ex overnight (AM priority), it is a 3 day round trip minimum. That's three days I have to go rent a car or do something else to get to work.
It'll be really nice to have a local retailer or someone flash the ROM during a lunch break or something. That is how I got an the Audi done the last time around.

All Tuners not just LET require the ECU to be sent out unless you live by a authorized dealer......but only LET is going the extra step to have your Tune pre-installed in a device that you can use yourself and download the Tune to your ECU I believe they are or have made it possible to email the Tune also...all it will require I believe is a deposit for the device and its returned once device is returned if I under stood it right.
