Well for your SRT6 it easier attainable compared to us C32s.....Look at the drag thread and get aquainted with C32 times and mods. Its by no mean impossible either but a Stage 1 will have a very tough time my friend.

C5 ZO6 times: http://www.z06vette.com/forums/f8/wh...le-time-87461/

After looking at stock C5 ZO6 well thats gonna be a tall order also. You will have to average mid 12s quite alot to take one out or just run into an inexperienced over confident driver and the chances are alot better. A W211 owner may fair alot better in stock form against a stock C5 ZO6
Seriously, do you think w211 STOCK run 12.2 nomally? I doubt it. I believe they run high 12s. I have never actual raced one (at the current mods you can tell what happens) but I couple times keep up with some w211s here in bay pretty good.

If I am not wrong you ran Jerry's car at low 13s while Jerry ran 12.4 right?

What a driver gets when running some elses car means diddly squat my friend. I raced a stock W211 when I was stock with like a 5/6 car advantage due to massive wheel spin and guess what he almost caught me the difference in time was like a 10th. If you never raced a W211 I say try it and see for urself. Remember a stock W211 with ChicagoX managed a high 11. Show me a stock or modded C32 that has done that even with NOS. I say post up a friendly race against a stock W211 even if you arent stock and see the takers that will be willing to show you my friend. I never said it was impossible. Also even Jerry ran 13s here and there. Low to mid 12s is not easy on any C32. I seen record setters run 13s here and there. Yes I did run low 13s on runs I did on Jerrys' old car...so are you implying I am a bad or lousy driver? Go on W211 forum and check out there times. I seen drivers run 13s in a W211 but those are hot days or bad traction. W211 stock has 469hp stock right? You know how hard it is to add 100 hp to the C32? Average W211 is around 410 at rear wheels stock and us C32 stock average 285 WHP?

LOL

I will race if I see one any day or night lol since I am always in the safe side. No surprise if I loss but big surprise if I win . For those times that I hit e55, they always let go when they see I came on side lol maybe for these reason:

1. They looked down on C32 so they did not want to race
2. They are afraid
3. They are fake e55

Just like my last post. I say everyone know what happen but I always want to see how good/bad I can keep up with those lol. I never look down on 211 (I actually tend to get one, it'll be my next car, maybe soon) but your number is high. You are picking up on the best stock 211 (if exists) not the AVERAGE 410 whp / 469 chp = 14% drive train loss. It is high

But anyway, no argument.

As per stock hp humbers 469 comes from website and WHP comes from forum...Hey anything can happen when you race someone I raced against a modded E60 M5 at US41 and a massive wheel spin on his part gave me the win and the W211 is close in competition to that model but the E63 is faster. We can't say that about the C32 we compete against the E46 M3. If I read your description correctly it says 00clk32m I presume its a 00 clk with a c32 motor which the body will give you an advantage due to lesser weight. I would race a W211 to but if I win it won't be due to that others car error it will be driver error. I have friends with stroked 383 chevy small block engines in their Mazda RX-7 that beat or give the C6 ZO6 a run for the money..anything can happen..but a stock or even slightly modded C32 with a great drag racer will find the stock W211 hard to beat if they to have an equally fast drag racer in it. Not trying to argue but the Hp difference really keeps the C32 away from the E55.

why you say that? nothing wrong with the c32...the e55 is more straightline potential but when you take it around corners you can see how heavy it really is. I like th compact ness of the c32 over the e55.

When i get older when i need more room for a family or something then i would probably move to a e55. I'm hoping someone will come out with a turbo conversion kit...too bad our engine bays are so cramped.

Yep be careful of modded one but not non-modded ones but if you sleep at the wheel those cars can beat you non modded also. AMG Jerry has one and with some modding he easily pulled into the high 12s at US41. Look next drag season to be into the low 12s or even high 11s. Both the 135i and 335i are becoming a huge threat to the W211 E55.

True. I am more interested in all around performance, including handling rather than just speed. If I wanted the extreme on both sides, I'd get a Turbo S.

Like I said, if I can get my car to run high-12 consistently, I'll be happy. Mid-12's, I'd be ecstatic because I'll be hard-pressed to find a tougher adversary that cost less than 60K.

That would entail me regarding an Evo or an STi as a car. They're more like flimsy rice boxes.

Mustang: GTs/500s I'm assuming?
And if you want to go that route, yes. Any car could be a competitor with enough money put into the car. Stock wise, it's a different story.

I guess I just see things in a weird fashion. :P

Victor, I think you entirely misconstrued what I said about fearing particular cars. Never did I say I could beat a W211, I just stated that I do NOT fear a stock one. I think given my times, I could give many a car a good run. Never said I could "beat" them, BUT could certainly make em work for their win. Next time we go to Morrocco, I hope that theres a "stock" 211 there. I'll run em with no fear at all. Now if you're talking about Aleks or X or Ends Mtg, thats a different story. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Remember, this is before my "winter mods" too which ought to help chop some time off.

yeah i was referring to the shelby gt500's even though i think there over priced. But you can buy a used domestic for almost nothing and just strap on a turbo or supercharger to have crazy amounts of power since modding them cost almost nothing in comparison to mercedes.

evo's and sti's respond extremely well. Just a ecu reflash stock can net you 30whp. With $3k in mods you can get 400whp on evo.
In terms of buck spent to hp return its hard to beat a evo or sti...maybe a srt4 or cobalt ss would come very close to beating in terms of cost but then you going to fwd.

Everyone raves about the 335i's potential but its nothing in comparison to the potential in a evo or sti.

Only reason the 335i is so popular here is because its only the only tier 1 luxury brand that offers turbo in there entry level models, which will change with the next gen mercedes line up.

For me, I'm more concerned with luxury and power rather than just power. Evo/STi is definitely not what you call a luxury car.

i agree, but in terms of performance to cost its difficult to beat cars that come turbo from the factory.
