My engine is making sounds
At idle my engine has this sounds, my friend says its like a diesel engine sound. Also when you drive, can you hear the supercharger? Are you suppose to hear the supercharger? Is it normal for the ticking----diesel engine sound and being able to hear the supercharger spinning?

Engine noise is normal in the 3.2

The diesel sound is normal. Mine started making it after about 800 miles. There was a big thead on that here a while back. My 3.2 ML did that & even my ML500 now - standard Merc valvetrain stuff, I would guess . . .
