Heat plate
I have had my c55 now for a month and loving it. One problem there is a heat plate under the car that keeps coming loose . I have taken the car back to my mb dealer now a second time to correct the problem. Its fine for two days or so then comes loose . Just wanted to know if it is a common problem or is it just something the dealer cant fix.

the heat shield is held in place by cheap aluminum nuts. if the dealer can't just replace those nuts, then I don't know what they are doing wrong. Ask them to put some removable locktite on the threads and don't overtighten the nuts or they may strip the threads. If they strip the threads on the bolt, then that's harder to fix.

The piece you are refering to has the same mold of the undercarriage there is really no reason why that sheild came off. Check it out and maybe it just needs a push to kinda put it back in place & install the bolts. Someone or something must of messed around with that IMHO.
