Shift Knob Install
Got a new shift knob and was wondering how to install the sucker. I searched and have a greneral idea, but am unsure about taking off the leather cover. Any photos or step by step would be great. I usually fix things with a hammer and duck tape....

You have to take apart the center trim around the shifter (I think) to expose the underside of the shifter.

Search the forum, both here and in the W203 forum, for a shift knob DIY. It is not as complicated as you think. I believe there is a plastic lock nut under the leather boot that will release the knob without removing the shift bezel.
When you know what to do, it is a 5 minute job.
