Quick Silver

Well, on Friday, the coldest day in years in D.C., my drivers door window regulator went kaput on my way to work. It was seriously cold and I'm sure everyone was looking at me as a fool driving down the interstate with my window down, freezing my tail off. Anyway, I took to the dealer at lunchtime, got a loaner car, returned to work and $500 (and change) later, that afternoon picked car up. I was hoping the window just came off the track, but it turned out to be a bad regulator. I know there is a DIY on the forum here, but too cold to attempt without a garage, and I don't have a garage. Just wanted to post in case people interested in dealership cost to fix.
